Our research group, led by Prof. Heejung Yang (양희정 교수), focuses on the discovery and characterization of bioactive secondary metabolites from various natural sources. We integrate classical Natural Products Chemistry with modern Mass Spectrometry-based Metabolomics and Molecular Networking to explore the chemical diversity of medicinal plants.

저희 연구실은 다양한 천연물로부터 생리활성 이차대사산물의 발견과 특성 규명에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 고전적인 천연물화학과 현대적인 질량분석 기반 대사체학, 분자 네트워킹 기법을 통합하여 약용식물의 화학적 다양성을 탐구합니다.

Core Research Areas 핵심 연구 분야

• Natural Products Discovery (유용 천연물 발굴): Isolation and structural elucidation of novel natural producst using the column chromatoraphies, such as LC/UV, LC/ELSD & LC/MS and the spectometric anlyses including MS & NMR.
  컬럼크로마토그래피 및 MS & NMR 기반 천연화합물 분리 및 구조 규명
• Advanced Metabolomics (첨단 대사체학): Large-scale chemical profiling using molecular networking and in silico annotation tools.
  분자네트워크 및 in silico 도구를 이용한 대규모 화학 프로파일링
• Bioinformatics (생물정보학): Applying machine learning to predict bioactivity and digitize chemotaxonomic data.
  기계학습을 적용한 생리활성 예측 및 화학분류학 데이터 디지털화
